HILLMAN IMP Mural - PRESTON, LANCS
This mural was painted on aluminium faced composite board at my studio and then installed on the garage's doors.
The Hillman Imp in the mural is the client's own pride and joy.
The mural was painted with enamels, airbrushed over the top and then clear coated in two pack lacquer.
Restaurant Mural - Lancashire, UK
A beautiful sunset mural painted in a restaurant.
The brief was to paint a route 66 sunset scene.
Lots of beautiful blending. I'm particularly fond of the cool lights reflecting off the road.
A combination of brushes, rags and airbrushes were used to create this mural.
Yep, the TV ruins this particular wall, but there you go.

FAKE WINDOW - Wigan, Lancashire
The client wanted something of interest adding to the ugly wall above the beer garden's smoking shelter.
The window is marked out with chalk.
The design is based on the architecture of the windows at the front of the pub.
Some simple basecoats are added.
Progress from a distance.
Details are added and the glass is painted.
Charles Dickens - Preston, Lancashire
Charles Dickens once stayed at The Bull & Royal in Preston. This artwork is to commemorate the event.
Mr Pickwick, one of Dickens' characters also painted in the alleyway.
And a bit of signwriting to finish things off.

Window murals - Colorado, USA
A retirement home in Colorado wanted to create a Memory Lane for its residents. I painted interior scenes in faux window frames.

Trompe l'oeil - Preston, Lancashire
This is a really old mural of mine. My sister's cat posed for the privilege. The cat has long gone but I don't know about the mural.
I still like lots of things about this mural,
all the little details,
but I always regretted painting the window so square. I should have softened it with some foliage.
I love this corner though!
BLOSSOM GARDEN
This was painted for a cancer care charity for ITV's Love Your Garden. They'd seen something similar on my website and wanted something just like it.
It rained most of the day so I was lucky the wind was blowing in the right direction and not wetting the wall.
When I arrived there was just the one bench against the wall so I shaped the blossom branch artistically around it. After I finished the mural the bench was moved to its 'permanent spot' elsewhere in the garden! Why did nobody tell me the bench wasn't staying there?!
Ceiling Pub Mural - Poulton-LE-FYLDE, Lancs
Another relatively old commission, painted as a celebration of Blackpool FC getting into the premiership. Seems like a very long time ago!
This commission was painted on canvas in my studio and pasted onto the ceiling.
I've never been back to see if it's still there, but I assume it is. I think it was called The Old Town Hall or something.
It's painted with a combination of brushes, rollers and airbrushes.
The installation replaced a jungle wildlife mural that looked like it had been there for years. I don't know who had painted it.
